The New Jumpsuit

Hello, my dears! I do hope you're doing well. Marie's family has been taking turns being sick of late, hence our silence here on the blog. Everyone is doing swimmingly now, so we're back! What do you think of my new jumpsuit? Marie stitched up this adorable outfit using a pattern called "Palazzo!" by Magalie Houle Dawson.
 It fits!

A new outfit calls for a new 'do! What do you think? Pixie adores this wig, and I'm inclined to agree with the darling girl.
Me with Marie's trusty sewing machine...and her pincushion. Why are pincushions shaped liked tomatoes?

That's Marie's current work in progress in the background. Can you guess who the people are? I'll give you a hint: obsession. *winks*

Have a look at this little cutie patootie. Marie creates reborn baby dolls, and this one is for a custom order. The sculpt is a micro preemie named Katheran and was sculpted by Stephanie Sullivan. Marie uses oodles of layers of heat set paints to bring the baby dolls to life. The hair is premium mohair which Marie roots one strand at a time. Exhausting, in my opinion, but the dear does enjoy the work. Oh, and yes, Marie did sew the dress, too!

Wishing you all a lovely day,

~ Ellowyne

Ellowyne & Florence Welcome Georgiana

Marie bought this present for herself, but she told me and Florence we could open the package.
We heart presents!

Oooo! A box from Wilde Imagination! The best sort!

Oh! I can't wait to see her in person!

Hello, Georgiana! We're ever so glad to meet you, at last!

Ellowyne's Christmas Dress

Hello, my dears! As promised, I'm sharing pictures of my lovely new Christmas dress. I absolutely adore it!

Can you believe Marie used an entire yard of fabric for this darling creation? The skirt is so "poufy" as her daughter described it.

Marie's darling daughter chose the fabric, and I couldn't be happier with her choice. Love that girl!

I hope your holiday season is posi-toot-ly perfect!

Love,

Ellowyne

P.S. Marie used a pattern by "Designs by Jude," which can be found on Etsy.

Ellowyne and the Red Queen

The Red Queen

"Alice laughed: "There's no use trying," she said; "one can't believe impossible things."

"I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

Alice and the Red Queen, Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

The Queen seems ever so nice. Perhaps she's merely been misunderstood.

On another topic entirely, I must confess to peeking around Marie's sewing machine earlier today. She's stitching a Regency style gown in a lovely shade of burgundy. The fabric is covered with gold leaves...simply lovely. I can scarcely wait for it to be finished! You should see the skirt! So much fabric! In fact, I overheard Marie telling her daughter the dress required a yard of fabric because of the fullness of the skirt. I shall share pictures as soon as the dress is ready. Have a gorgeous day, my dears.

Florence and the White Queen

The White Queen
"I'm sure I'll take you with pleasure!" the Queen said. "Twopence a week, and jam every other day."
Alice couldn't help laughing, as she said, "I don't want you to hire me -- and I don't care for jam."
"It's very good jam," said the Queen.
"Well, I don't want any to-day, at any rate."
"You couldn't have it if you did want it," the Queen said. "The rule is, jam to-morrow and jam yesterday -- but never jam to-day."
"It must come sometimes to 'jam to-day,'" Alice objected.
"No, it can't," said the Queen. "It's jam ever other day: to-day isn't any other day, you know."
"I don't understand you," said Alice. "It's dreadfully confusing!"
"That's the effect of living backwards," the Queen said kindly: "it always makes one a little giddy at first--"

Alice and the White Queen, Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll

Good morning, lovies! Today, I'm visiting with the White Queen. Isn't she stunning? Hmm, I wonder if she'll let me try on her crown...if I ask very nicely. *winks*

Tell me, your majesty, what's it like to be royalty?

Ellowyne and Friends

Today, I'd love to introduce two of my dear friends. They've been with me for awhile now,
and they are as sweet as can be. Their names are Graciela and Amelia.

Graciela and I are the same age, and we love to share clothes.

Isn't Amelia the cutest, itty-bitty thing? Love her!

Tomorrow, Florence will have a chat with the White Queen from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. See you soon!
